You can put this solution on YOUR website! A local aquarium found that if the price of admission was $16, the attendance was about 800 customers per week. When the price of admission was dropped to $7, attendance increased to about 950 per week. Write a linear equation for the attendance in terms of the price, p. ( A = mp + b ). ***
 What you have here is a linear relationship, given 2 points (16,800) and ((7,950)on the curve.
 let x=price
 y=mx+b, m=slope, b=y-intercept
 slope=∆y/∆x=(800-950)/(16-7)=-150/9
 equation: y=-150x/9+b
 solve for b using coordinates of a point (16,800) on the line
 800=-150*16/9+b
 b=1067
 equation: y=-150x/9+1067
