For this you need to collect like terms, any terms in the equation that look alike, you can add or subtract them.
-3r+5-3s-7+8s-2t-r
What I do to start is to put together like terms;
-3r-r+5-7-3s+8s-2t
Now I add or subtract the terms which are alike:
-4r -2 +5s -2t
Be very careful of the signs, remember the sign in front if the term goes with that term;
example;
when you move together the -3r with the -r, be sure the sign of the r moves with it.
