Question 959195: Please my problem is to express this in logarithm form:
1 1/4=x
And my answer is log base one of x is equals to one quarter

You can put this solution on YOUR website! not sure what this represents.
is this 1 and 1/4 = x or is this 1^(1/4) = x
1 and 1/4 is equal to 1.25 which doesn't seem to be a logarithmic type of problem.
1^(1/4) is equal to 1 raised to the power of (1/4) which can be considered to be a logarithmic type problem.
the exponential form and the logarithmic form go hand in hand based on the following definition of logs.
log(b,x) = y if and only if b^y = x
log(b,x) means log of x to the base of b.
b^y means base of b raised to the power of y.
i will assume you mean 1^(1/4) = x
by the basic definition of logs, this is true if and only if log(1,x) = 1/4.
that means log of x to the base of 1 is equal to 1/4.
your answer is:
log base one of x is equals to one quarter.
that looks like the same as my answer, so i would say you did good.
