Question 957679: Find roots of this polynomial?
OK, so I have a polynomial that looks like:
3x^8+6x^7-136x^6-2x^5+42x^4-6x^3+136x^2+2x-45=0.
So I have already done Descartes Rule of Signs, and my Positive, Negative, Complex chart ended up looking like this:
+,-,C
5 3 0
3 3 2
1 3 4
3 1 4
5 1 2
Also given it says that 1 of the roots is -1+radical46.
Is there any way to find the rest of the roots?

================
Try the factors of 45.
1, 3, 5, 9, 15 plus and minus.
