Question 955656: If X has a normal distribution with mean 80 and standard deviation 12, what is the distribution of the mean of a sample of 9 of these values? Give the values of the parameters.
Please help me with this - and can you please explain what they mean by the value of the parameters. Thank you to whomever tackles this problem. I do appreciate the time and effort each of you put in helping others - it takes a special person to do so.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

----
The parameters of a distribution are the mean and the standard
deviation of the distribution.
----
Your Problem as answered by the Central Limit Theorem.
Mean of sample means = mean of population = 80
std of sample mean = (std of population)/sqrt(sample size) = 12/3 = 4
--------
Those are the parameters of the distribution.
