You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Create a x|y data table, and compute the change in y for change in x, and note the value of this change. You should see that it is identical to one of the numbers in your equation; specifically the coefficient on the x term.

SLOPE mean ratio of vertical change to horizontal change.
