You can put this solution on YOUR website!
J= 1/6 (1 pool in 6hrs, in 1hr 1/6 of the pool, in 2hrs 2/6... in 6hrs 6/6)
J+T= 1/2 And we just said that J= 1/6, so let's substitute:
1/6+T = 1/2 Multiply both sides x 6 to get rid of the fractions:
6(1/6+T) = 6(1/2)Multiply and you get:
6T = 3 Divide both sides by 6:
T = 3/6 Both numbers are divisible by 3, simplify:
T = 1/2 It takes Tara 1/2 hour to clean the pool by herself.
