You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1) assuming 5 & 8 are width and length, the area of the rectangle is 5*8 or 40

2) you need more information for the area of the triangle ... the angle between the two sides or the length of the third side

3) distribute the -2 on the left side ... -4x+6=2x ... 6=6x ... 1=x
