Question 951502: Triangle DEF has angles that measure 64 degrees and 77 degrees. Which of the following could be a dilation of triangle DEF?
1)D'E'F' with angles that measure 64 degrees and 48 degrees
2)D'E'F' with angles that measure 77 degrees and 39 degrees
3)D'E'F' with angles that measure 77 degrees and 48 degrees
4)D'E'F' with angles that measure 39 degrees and 48 degrees

You can put this solution on YOUR website! "Triangle DEF has angles that measure 64 degrees and 77 degrees"
x is the missing angle
x+64+77 = 180
x+141 = 180
x = 180-141
x = 39
The missing angle for triangle DEF is 39 degrees.

Any dilation of DEF will also have angles of 64, 77, and 39 degrees. In any order.
So that's why the answer is 2)D'E'F' with angles that measure 77 degrees and 39 degrees
The other choices are wrong because of the '48 degrees'
