Question 951320: A telephone number in another town can use any one of five different three-digit prefixes. How many different telephone numbers are possible in this town?
The answer on the book says it is 50,000; but shouldn't it be 5,000?

For each prefix numbers from 0000-9999 are 10000 (9999+1 for 0000)
10000*5 prefixes=50000
