It's a system of equations.
X + y = 65
6x + 3.50y = 340.
What I did was make "x" as the number of adult tickets and "y" the number of child tickets. The first equation shows the number of tickets sold and the second equation shows how much money was made.
So, y= -x + 65. Now, let's plug that into the other equation.
6x + 3.50(-x + 65) = 340. Now, solve that. You get 2.5x = 112.5.
So, x= 45. So, 45 adult tickets were sold.
