M = -2/3
B = -3
The m isthe slope and it's the one that is attached to the "x". The b is the y intercept and it's the one that's just like out by itself. However, it is NOT the y value. It's the number that touches the y-axis when graphed.
find y if x is 3:
Y = -2/3(3) -3
Y = -2 -3
Y = -5
find x if y is -3
-3 = -2/3x -3
0 = -2/3x
0 = x
