Question 948639: A jar contains 1000 identical nails. If a number of nails weighing a total of 1500g were removed from the jar, there would be 850 nails left in the jar. How many g does 1 nail weigh? I took the difference in the amount of nails before and after then divided it into the 1500g and got the right answer 10g. Is this how it should be done. I think I got lucky.
