2)the length of a rectangular garden is twice its width. If it's are is 98 square feet how long is the garden? I for the length as 14 and width as 7 but I do not what to do after Answer by macston(5194) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1) A log 1 meter in diameter has a circumference ,
so the truck would move approximately 3.14 meters per revolution of the log.
The circumference of a wheel (or log) is the distance around the circle, which is the same as the distance it would roll in one revolution.
2) W=width; L=length=2W
Area=A=L*W Plug in value for A, Substitute for L
98 sq ft=2W*W Divide each side by 2. Find the square root of each side.
7 feet=W The Width of the garden is 7 feet
L=2W+2(7 feet)=14 feet ANSWER: The garden is 14 feet long.
CHECK
Area=98 sq ft
98 sq ft=(14 feet)(7 feet)
98 sq ft=98 sq ft
The only question in Part 2 was the length of the garden, and you had that (if you could show your work).
