You can put this solution on YOUR website!

I need help solving the following by using the Square Root Method.

%28x-3%29%5E2 = -5

Take square roots of both sides, remembering ± on the right side:

sqrt%28%28x-3%29%5E2%29 = ±sqrt%28-5%29

x-3 = ±sqrt%285%29i

Add 3 to both sides to solve for x:

x = 3±sqrt%285%29i

The two solutions are 3%2Bsqrt%285%29i and 3-sqrt%285%29i
