You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I need help on this problem Eric earns a weekly salary and a commission on each item that he sells. The equation y = 10x + 50 represents the amount of money that Eric earns weekly. Bailey earns a greater weekly salary than Eric but the same commission rate. Which graph could represent the amount of money that Bailey earns weekly, y, based on the number of items sold, x?
----------------
Eric's equation::
Base pay = 50 (y-intercept)
Commission rate = 10 ; (this is the slope of the graph)
-------
If Bailey earns more but has the same commission
his commission rate must be 10 (same slope as Eric's graph)
his Base pay must be greater than 50 (greater y-intercept)
-------
Ans:: Bailey's graph must be parallel to Eric's (same slope)
but be above Eric's at every x-value.
