Question 946816: Assume x has a standard normal distribution and a mean of 45 with a standard deviation of 8.
What is the probability that if you pick a random x value it is greater than 50?
What equation do I use?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Use the area under the normal distribution curve and the z score.
z=%28x-mu%29%2Fsigma=%2850-45%29%2F8=0.625
With that z score,
P=0.734
So with that 73.4% of the numbers would be less than 50 leaving 26.6% of the numbers to be greater than 50.
