You can put this solution on YOUR website!
52/2=26
x+x+2=26
2x=26-2
x=24/2
x=12
x+2=14

Twice the sum of two consecutive even numbers is 52.
We can do this by letting the first number be 2x instead of x. What would the next consecutive even number be? Be careful. 2x+%2B+1 is not even.
So, our next numbers would be 2x+%2B+2 ,+2x+%2B+4.
Similarly, consecutive odd numbers would be of the form 2x+%2B+1, 2x+%2B+3, etc.

Twice the sum of two consecutive even numbers, 2x and 2x%2B2 is 52:
2%282x%2B%282x%2B2%29%29=52....solve for x
2%282x%2B2x%2B2%29=52
2%284x%2B2%29=52
8x%2B4=52
8x=52-4
8x=48
x=48%2F8
x=6
so,
the first even number is 2x=>2%2A6=>12
the second even number is 2x%2B2=>2%2A6%2B2=>14
