Question 944012: Im in college math, its kinda embarrising to say this but I forgot a little bit about square roots...
I would really appreciate it if you could help me with this equation:
***(radical symbol and square root is basically same thing so if you are confused by term radical just picture it as the square root symbol)
Rationalize the denominator:

15
----
Radical 14

(read out it is 15 over radical/square root (same thing) 14

Type 15/sqrt(14) instead. Or, in LaTeX, \frac{15}{\sqrt{14}}, which gives .

Multiply the top and bottom by sqrt(14) to rationalize the denominator.

to rationalize the denominator means get a rid of sqrt%2814%29 from denominator, and multiply both numerator and denominator by sqrt%2814%29:
15%2Fsqrt%2814%29=15sqrt%2814%29%2F%28sqrt%2814%29%2Asqrt%2814%29%29=15sqrt%2814%29%2F14
