You can put this solution on YOUR website!
L=side of equal length; X=Other side=2L-1
Perimeter=L+L+X=L+L+2L-1=24 ft
4L-1=24 ft
4L=25 ft
L=25/4 ft ANSWER Sides of equal length are 25/4 ft long=6.25 ft
X=2L-1=2(6.25)-1=12.5-1=11.5 ft ANSWER the other side is 11.5 ft
CHECK:
Perimeter =L+L+X=24 feet
6.25 ft+6.25 ft+11.5 ft=24 feet
24 feet=24 feet
