You can put this solution on YOUR website!
When you multiply a scalar value (any single number) by a matrix, you simply multiply that scalar value by every matrix entry.
So if you have the matrix
%28matrix%283%2C3%2C3%2C-2%2C0%2C1%2C4%2C2%2C-1%2C5%2C-3%29%29
and you want to multiply that matrix by the scalar value of -3, then you simply multiply -3 by every matrix entry like this:

which then comes to be
%28matrix%283%2C3%2C-9%2C6%2C0%2C-3%2C-12%2C-6%2C3%2C-15%2C9%29%29

So if A=%28matrix%283%2C3%2C3%2C-2%2C0%2C1%2C4%2C2%2C-1%2C5%2C-3%29%29,

then -3A=%28matrix%283%2C3%2C-9%2C6%2C0%2C-3%2C-12%2C-6%2C3%2C-15%2C9%29%29
