Solve this quadratic equation.
(6)/(2x-1)=(4)/(x+1)
This is what I got, after multiplying the equation by the LCM (2x-1).
6=(4)/(x+1)
I think the non-permissible values are 0 & -1.
Please help me fix/complete the equation. Thanks!
, with
4(2x - 1) = 6(x + 1) ------- Cross-multiplying
8x - 4 = 6x + 6
8x - 6x = 6 + 4
2x = 10
