General form for difference of two squares
a%28x%5Ec%29-b%28y%5Ed%29%29%29%29%0D%0A%7B%7B%7Bx%5Ec
The equation is a perfect square if a and b are perfect squares and c and d are even numbers. the factors are:
sqrt%28a%29x%5E%28c%2F2%29%2Bsqrt%28b%29y%5E%28d%2F2%29 and sqrt%28a%29%2A%28x%5E%28c%2F2%29%29-sqrt%28b%29%2A%28y%5E%28d%2F2%29%29
(The exponent of x is c/2 and the exponent of y is d/2. They are cut off above)
Given x%5E2-100
a,y, and d=1 x=x and c=2 so
Sqrt%281%29x%5E%282-1%29%2B+sqrt%28100%29 and Sqrt%281%29%2Ax%5E%282-1%29-+sqrt%28100%29 or
(x+10)(x-10)
