You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The world's strongest beer, which contains 13.2 percent alcohol, can be found in Kulmbach, West Germany.
The world's weakest beer, which contains 0.2 percent alcohol, can also be found in Germany.
How many liters of the world's strongest beers are needed to make 100 liters of a mixture that is 8 percent alcohol?
:
Let x = amt of 13.2% beer required
then
(100-x) = amt of .2% beer needed
:
A typical mixture equation
13.2x + .2(100-x) = 8(100)
13.2x + 20 - .2x = 800
13.2x - .2x = 800-20
13x = 780
x = 780/13
x = 60 liters of 13.2% Beer
:
Not sure how they came up with 16 liters
