The larger of two numbers is twice the smaller.
a = 2b
Their sum is three times their difference.
a + b = 3(a-b)
a + b = 3a - 3b
b + 3b = 3a - a
4b = 2a
replace a with (2b)
4b = 2(2b)
4b = 4b, so we don't know any more than when we started

We have to assume their is not a unique solution, the 2nd equation is true for any two number where one is twice the other
