Equation:
75 = 2w + 3
2w = 72
width = 36 yards

L=2W+3
75 yd=2W+3yd Subtract 3 yd from each side
75 yd-3yd=2W+3yd-3yd
72 yd=2W divide each side by 2
72 yd/2=2W/2
36 yd=W ANSWER width = 36 yards

75 yd=2(36 yd)+3
75 yd=72 yd +3 yd
