Question 940581: Please help me in my homework. I think this is invalid yet our teacher gave it to us.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The description runs like a two part mixture problem but is an investment problem instead.

u = how much at 10%
v = how much at 12%

system%280.10u%2B0.12v=4500%2Cu%2Bv=200000%29

Two linear equations in two unknown variables, u and v.

This is IMPOSSIBLE!!
At those rates, and a principal of $200,000, earnings should be a lot more than $4,500 for the year. Are you certain
you have the right numbers &/or info.?
