You can put this solution on YOUR website!
10 dimes = 1 dollar
1 dime = 0.1 dollar
4 quarters = 1dollar
1 quarter = 0.25 dollars
let x be the no of dimes or no of quarters
x*0.1 +x*0.25 = 5.25
x(0.1+0.25) = 5.25
x( 0.35) = 5.25
divide with 0.35 on both sides
x%28+0.35%29%2F0.35+=5.25%2F0.35
x= 15
no of dimes = 15
value of dimes = 15 *0.1
= 1.5
value of dimes = $ 1.5
