Question 939742: for my outboard motor, the recommended ratio of gas to oil is 50:1
if my gas tank will hold 20L
what percent of my mixture (gas & oil) is oil? and How much oil should i mix in my gas tank?
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 50:1 ---> 50x L of gas, 1x L of oil
50x + 1x = 20
51x = 20
x = 20/51
-------------------------------------------------------
so you should mix 20/51 Liters of oil
20/51 is approximately 0.39215686
so you should have approximately 0.39215686 liters of oil
