You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/4x-1/5y+1=0
move 1/5 y to the right
%281%2F4%29x%2B1+=+%281%2F5%29+y
multiply with 5 on both sides
%28%281%2F4%29x%2B1%29%2A5+=+%281%2F5%29+y%2A5
+%285%2F4%29x%2B5+=+y.............eq(1)
slope intercept form of line y= mx+c..........eq(2)
where m = slope
c= y-intercept
compare eq(1) & eq(2)
slope(m)= 5/4
y-intercept (c) = 5

1/4x-1/5y+1=0. What is its slope and y intercept
Place the equation in slope-intercept form, as follows:
%281%2F4%29x+-+%281%2F5%29y+%2B+1+=+0
%281%2F4%29x+%2B+1+=+%281%2F5%29y ------ Adding %281%2F5%29y
5%281%2F4%29x+%2B+5%281%29+=+5%281%2F5%29y ------ Dividing by 1%2F5, or multiplying by 5
highlight_green%28%285%2F4%29x+%2B+5+=+y%29
As seen, slope, or m is: highlight_green%285%2F4%29, and y-intercept is: highlight_green%285%29
You can do the check!!
