9 is added to that number
it becomes 9+x
on dividing the sum by 16, it becomes finally 1

multiply with 16 on both sides
+%28%289%2Bx%29%2F16%29%2A16++=+1%2A16
9+x= 16
subtract 9 on both sides
9+x-9 = 16-9
x = 7
Result : number we are looking for is 7
