Question 939090: Word problem: The electrical current in a circuit varies with time according to +c=%283%28s%29%5E3-%28s%29%5E2%2B5%28s%29%29%2F%28%28s%29%5E3%2B10%29+ where c is current, and s is time in seconds. Find the average rate of change from 0.75 to 1.5 seconds and find the instantaneous rate of change at 1.5 seconds. These are rational functions, please explain problem solving step by step as I cannot seem to get the answer correctly. Thank You!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
+c%28s%29+=%283%28s%29%5E3-%28s%29%5E2%2B5%28s%29%29%2F%28%28s%29%5E3%2B10%29+
average rate of change from 0.75 to 1.5 seconds
%28c%281.5%29+-+c%28.75%29%29%2F%281.5-.75%29+=++%281.1495+-+.4273+%29%2F%281.5-.75%29+
Re TY
Used Graphing Calculator to Determine c(1.5) = 1.1495
Note Below for c'(1.5)
....
instantaneous rate of change at 1.5 seconds.
c'(1.5)= 1.0834
