You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Write an equation for each statement
:
Jose has $15 more than Alicia.
j = a + 15
Alicia has $10 less than Alondra.
a = A - 10
or
A = a + 10
Together they have $100.
j + a + A = 100
Replace j And A
(a+15) + a + (a+10) = 100
3a + 25 = 100
3a = 75
a = 75/3
a = $25 has Alicia
then
j = 25 + 15 = $40 has Jose
and
A = 25 + 10 = $35 has Alondra

See if that adds up
40 + 25 + 35 = 100
