say so, but if it is, I can say:
Let +x+ = kg of corn needed to feed
+2800+ chickens

I can set up the ratio:
+5000+%2F+2800+=+%28+2x-30+%29+%2F+x+
Multiply both sides by +2800x+
+5000x+=+2800%2A%28+2x+-+30+%29+
+5000x+=+5600x+-+84000+
+600x+=+84000+
+x+=+140+
