You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x= number of children
y= number of adults

1 x + 1 y = 60 .............1

1.50 x + 2.50 y = 126.00 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by -2.50
Multiply (2) by 1.00
-2.50 x -2.50 y = -150.00
1.50 x + 2.50 y = 126.00
Add the two equations
-1.00 x = -24.00
/ -1.00
x = 24.00
plug value of x in (1)
1.00 x + 1.00 y = 60.00
24.00 + y = 60.00
y = 60.00 -24
y = 36.00
y = 36.00 1
x= 24 number of children
y= 36 number of adults
