You can put this solution on YOUR website!
"If Jerrod is in 11th grade then Jerrod is in high school."
Find the converse, inverse, and contrapositive
Let p = the words between "If" and "then".

So p = "Jerrod is in 11th grade."

Let q = the words after "then".

So q = "Jerrod is in high school."

So the given statement:

"if Jerrod is in 11th grade then Jerrod is in high school."

can be abbreviated as

"If p then q."

Learn these rules: [to "negate" means to make a statement false by
                        inserting "not"]

Original statement: if p then q [given]
Converse statement: if q then p [swap, but don't negate]
Inverse statement: if not p then not q [negate but don't swap]
Contrapositive statement: if not q then not p [negate and swap]

Start with the original statement:

"if Jerrod is in 11th grade then Jerrod is in high school."

Swap them, but don't negate them to create the converse:

"if Jerrod is in high school then Jerrod is in 11th grade."

------------------------

Start with the original statement:

"if Jerrod is in 11th grade then Jerrod is in high school."

Negate them, but don't swap them to create the inverse:

"if Jerrod is NOT in 11th grade then Jerrod is NOT in high school."

------------------------

Start with the original statement:

"if Jerrod is in 11th grade then Jerrod is in high school."

Swap them and negate them to create the contrapositive:

"if Jerrod is NOT in high school then Jerrod is NOT in 11th grade."

------------------------
------------------------

Converse -- swap, but don't negate
Inverse -- negate, but don't swap
Contrapositive -- swap and negate

If the original statement is true, then so is the contrapositive.
If the original statement is false, then so is the contrapositive.
If the inverse statement is true, then so is the converse.
If the inverse statement is false, then so is the converse.
