Question 936100: Which equation represents a line that is parallel to the line whose equation is y=-3x-7
A)y=-3x+4
B)y=1/3x+5
C)y=-1/3x-7
D)y=3x-2
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! y = -3x-7 has a slope of -3
Any line with a slope of -3 will be parallel to this given line.
The only line that fits the description is choice A) y = -3x+4. Everything else has a different slope, therefore they aren't parallel to this given line.
