You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let y represent the man's age
The proper translation is (y-5)*(y+9)=15
y² + 9y - 5y - 45 = 15
y² + 4y - 45 - 15 = 0
y² + 4y - 60 = 0
Factorise the equation
y² - 6y + 10y -60 = 0
y(y-6) 10(y-6) = 0
(y-6) (y+10) = 0
Expansiate the equation
y-6 = 0 or y+10 = 0
y = 6 or. y = -10
Since one's age can't have negative sign
Therefore the man's present age = y = 6

Who writes these math problems, or is this one made up by some individual? Where I'm from,
a 6 year-old is considered a boy, not a man. Better yet, a male is a more appropriate title.
Anyway, the boy's (not man's) current age is
You can do the check!!
