Question 934441: what does the "" mean? What do I have to do on the graph paper?
Using a scale of 2cm to 1 unit on the x and y axis, draw the graph of y = 2x+1 and x-3y= 2 for "-2
and use your graphs to solve the following simultaneous equations.
y = 2x+1
x-3y = 2
How do I use my graphs to solve? Answer by rothauserc(4718) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! you want the intersection point of the two lines,
y = 2x+1
x-3y = 2
second equation in standard form is
y = x/3 - 2/3
in the following graph, y = 2x+1 is red line and y = x/3 - 2/3 is green line
from the graph, we see that the point of intersection is (-1, -1)
I think the "-2 is the grid size, that is x axis is -2,2, y axis is -2,2
