Assuming the parallelogram is ABCD, you need to show that

AB || CD
and
BC || AD

You do so by computing the slopes of AB & CD and seeing if they are equal or not. The same applies for BC & AD.

Note: the two vertical lines "||" means "parallel" (eg: "AB || CD" means "AB is parallel to CD")
