Assume the equation is:
1%2F%28x%2B3%29+%2B+x%2F%28x%5E2-9%29+=+-2%2F%28x-3%29
multiply by (x-3)(x+3) which is x^2-9, cancel the denominators; resulting in
(x-3) + x = -2(x+3)
x - 3 + x = -2x - 6
combine like terms
x + x + 2x = -6 + 3
4x = -3
x = -3%2F4
no need for the quadratic formula here
