Question 933140: Simone has 16 players on her soccer team. There are 6 more boys than girls. How many boys and girls are there?
I have spent hours on this problem and for some reason I can't understand it. :( Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! B + G = 16
B = G + 6
-----
Sub for B in the 1st eqn
(G + 6) + G = 16
2G + 6 = 16
2G = 10
G = 5 girls
B = 11 boys
