You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You can try proving through contradiction.

%28x%2Bb%29%28x%2Bb%29 is a perfect square and the equivalent trinomial can be found.
%28x%2Bb%29%5E2=x%5E2%2B2bx%2Bb%5E2.
You would assume that 2b=6 and b%5E2=6. You would expect to find ONE unique number for b which satisfies both of these equations. Let's try.

2b=6 means b=3.

b%5E2=6 means b=0%2B-+sqrt%286%29.

These two results for b are not equal.

1. Explain how do you know x2 + 6x +6 is not a perfect square trinomial.
x%5E2+%2B+6x+%2B6
c, which in this case is 6, is NOT a perfect square.
You can do the check!!
