b. Find the total cost of rental if it was driven 60 miles.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! (a) The cost expression is 5000 + 50x because you take the initial cost of $5000 and you add on an additional 50x dollars. The 50x represents the cost for driving x miles.

(b) Take cost expression (5000 + 50x) from part (a) and replace every x with 60 and evaluate
5000 + 50x
5000 + 50(60)
5000 + 3000
8000
So the total cost for driving 60 miles is $8,000
