You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x = nickels
y = dimes
---
x + y = 24
5x + 10y = 155
---
put the system of linear equations into standard form
---
x + y = 24
5x + 10y = 155
---
copy and paste the above standard form linear equations in to this solver:

solution:
x = nickels = 17
y = dimes = 7

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x the number of Dimes
10x + 5(24-x) = 155cents (cents make Sense)
5x = 155 - 120
5x = 35
x = 7 , the number of Dimes. Nickels 17 24-7
And...checking
70 + 85 = 155 0r $1.55
