C(x) = 3x^2 -120x +1300
A) C(32) = (3*32^2) - (120*32) +1300 = 532
B) Our cost equation is a parabola that opens upward, to find the number of ipods that min cost we must determine the x coordinate of the vertex. The x coordinate of the vertex is given by the following formula
x = -b / 2a = 120 / 6 = 20
note that a = 3 and b = -120 from the quadratic cost formula
Therefore the number of ipods is 20 which minimizes cost
