x+%3E-12 Multiply both sides by -2, this means you flip the sign

x%3C+6 Multiply both sides by 3%2F2

Now combine the two inequalities into one
-12%3Cx%3C6

So the solution set is -12%3Cx%3C6

which is (-12,6) in interval notation
