Let x be the smallest odd integer
(x+2) is the next
(x+4) follows (x+2)
(x+6) follows (x+4)
(x+8) follows (x+6)
(x+10) follows (x+8)
x + (x+2) + (x+4) + (x+6) + (x+8) + (x+10) = 456
6x + 30 = 456
add -30 to each side
6x = 426
divide each side by 6
x = 71
