You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x = nickels
y = dimes
z = quarters
---
x + y + z = 58
x = 2z
y = x + 3
---
put the system of linear equations into standard form
---
x + y + z = 58
x - 2z = 0
x - y = -3
---
copy and paste the above standard form linear equations in to this solver:

solution:
x = nickels = 22
y = dimes = 25
z = quarters = 11

Let number of quarters, be Q
Then number of nickels is: 2Q, and number of dimes is: 2Q + 3
Since there are 58 coins, we have:
Q + 2Q + 2Q + 3 = 58
5Q = 58 - 3
5Q = 55
Q, or number of quarters = 55%2F5, or highlight_green%2811%29
Number of nickels: 2(11), or highlight_green%2822%29
Number of dimes: 2(11) + 3, or highlight_green%2825%29
You can do the check!!
