Question 928001: Hello,
I am hoping you can help with the following homework problem:
*A study randomly selected adults with diabetes for a survey of physical exercise and daily activities. The researcher divided the sample into four groups based on their level of physical activity and wanted to know if those who exercised more had a control of their diabetes that differed from those who exercised less.
1. What is the null hypothesis?
a. Diabetes control and physical activity are independent
b. The mean difference between diabetes control and physical activity is 0
c. MeanX1 = MeanX2 = MeanX3 = MeanX4
d. P0 = P1 = P3 = P7
2. What is the appropriate statistical test: chi square, analysis of variance, correlation, linear regression?
3. If the test indicates p=0.0287, what would I conclude?
a. Reject Null, there is at least one difference among the group means
b. Reject Null, those who exercise more have better control of their diabetes than those who exercise less.
c. Fail to Reject Null, there is no difference in diabetes between groups
d. Cannot draw a conclusion for the given information.
Thank you very much for your assistance!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! A study randomly selected adults with diabetes for a survey of physical exercise and daily activities. The researcher divided the sample into four groups based on their level of physical activity and wanted to know if those who exercised more had a control of their diabetes that differed from those who exercised less.
